At The Utility Kilt, we value our customers and strive to provide a fair and transparent return and exchange process.
We offer a 100% return or exchange within 30 days of delivery only in cases where there is a manufacturer’s fault related to sizing, color, or craftsmanship.
It is the customer’s responsibility to provide accurate sizing at the time of order. If incorrect sizing is submitted by the customer, no refund or exchange will be issued.
Any return or exchange must be requested within 30 days of receiving the product.
All kilts, jackets, accessories, and musical instruments are custom-made to order, which means they are non-refundable and non-exchangeable, except in the following cases:
The item was not made according to the specifications provided by the customer at the time of ordering.
There is clear evidence of manufacturing damage or error.
In these cases, we will offer a full refund or replacement, depending on the customer’s preference.
If an item is damaged during shipping, the courier company is responsible, not us.
We package all items with care and assist in opening a damage claim with the courier (e.g., FedEx).
However, the customer is required to file a damage report directly with the courier, as per their policy.
Refunds for courier-related damage will only be provided by the courier, not by us, and only if the claim is approved.
Kilts made with custom tartan fabric are non-refundable, as the fabric is specially produced for your order. However:
If there is a sizing issue or the kilt arrives damaged, we will send a replacement.
Worn or damaged kilts (due to use or improper handling) are not eligible for refund.

Include:
Your order number
Your full name
A clear explanation of the issue
A short video showing the issue
Without this information, a refund or exchange cannot be processed.
Buyers must return items within 30 days of receiving the order.
Items must be returned in original, undamaged condition. We are not responsible for refunds if the returned item is damaged or worn.
For exchanges, we must receive the original item first before sending out a replacement.
If the item is eligible for a refund:
Refunds will be processed within 7–10 business days after the item is received and evaluated.
We will refund both the cost of the item and the original shipping cost.
